Triple Threat’s Salmon Egg dry cures are formulated to strategically promote instinctive strikes from salmon and steelhead. The powder has specially designed attractants that launch salmon and steelheads olfactory senses into attack mode! The cures maintains color cast after cast.

Deadly is a boraxed based two day soak and the Rapid Cure is sulfite based and is a nice 3 hour bath.

Milking of the eggs: This is achieved by allowing the eggs to bathe in the cure formula for alloted hours. You will need to leave the juice and place eggs in the fridge to dramatically slow curing process and “set” the eggs. After several hours in the fridge, your eggs are nice and firm and READY! The juice has lots of proteins, minerals, amino acids, and when you freeze or fridge your package, the continual soaking illiviates mold. This choice is ideal for slow to moderate water currents.

Materials:

Nitrile gloves, small bucket, utility scissors, protective mask.

Tip: If your fish skein has a blood line with good amount of visible blood in it, it must be manicured and trimmed out! Blood can deteriorate quality of eggs overtime.

Whole Skein:

Take your whole skein and if you have thick deep areas then you must butterfly open that portion so the cure achieves proper penetration. Pour cure in bottom of bucket, or jar, and begin to sprinkle cure in between the folds—that’s the ticket! This is where nitrile gloves come in handy and you can use your fingers/thumb to rub in the cure between the folds! Layer the skeins in bucket. During the curing process for which ever cure you are using, it is wise to roll eggs around in bucket or shake the jar to help distribute and ensure an even coloring and curing of eggs. Ideal to keep in vacuum sealed jars, or can easily be kept frozen.

Bait Size Pieces:

Pour cure into bottom of container. Whether you are using a bucket or jar--layering is best. Once your bait sized pieces are cut, sprinkle good amount of cure all over pieces. Continue layering and sprinkling healthy amount of cure on eggs. Roll eggs around in container and leave them be for recommended time frame. Less time required being eggs are cut into pieces. Refrigerate after curing process. Once again, ideal to keep in vacuum sealed jars, or can easily be frozen.

Sockeye Roe:
If your using Sockeye Roe and your using the Rapid it takes 24 hours to properly cure--with this kind of roe only. The eggs are so small that it takes the "normal" 3 hour Rapid Cure soak for king and coho eggs, a whole 24 hours to make it happen with sockeye eggs. Always mix contents and rotate around every few hours so colors and flavors properly penetrate.

Warning:

Keep out of reach of pets and children. If folks experience an allergic reaction call and seek medical attention. Try to cure in fresh air environment, use gloves, and do not ingest!

Coloring:

The Rapid Fire formula in “Real Red” and “True Orange” are ink free and less likely to stain, however the “Dark Red” and "Forever Red" happen to possess some of the staining qualities in order to deliver that extra punch!
